McLeod is not Good Enough

The Rangers re-signed Cody McLeod last week but need to upgrade. A player like Chris Stewart would bring more legitimacy to the enforcer role, plus bring more to the table on the Rangers 4th line. He’s available as are players like Scott Hartnell and former Blueshirt, Tanner Glass.

Libor Hajek is confident and I love it

Newsday’s latest Rangers column goes over two young Rangers prospect blue liners, Ryan Lindgren and Libor Hajek. Here’s a quote from Hajek on making the team out of camp and I love it.

“Yeah, I’m going into camp thinking I’m going to make the Ranger team,’’ Lindgren said during the prospect camp. “Obviously, there’s a lot of good young defensemen I’m going to compete with.” Said Hajek, “I believe I will make it this year. That’s my goal . . . I’m just healthy and I believe in myself.’’

That’s the swagger I like to see in prospects.
