NHL.com writer, Dan Rosen was on NHL network and discussed what he believes the Rangers will do this offseason.

Karlsson or Carlson, pick one

Rosen discussed Ilya Kovalchuk from an obvious standpoint, but delved into the Rangers large amount of draft picks (10) and cap space. He believes the Rangers would move some of those picks in a trade and try to land Erik Karlsson in a deal.Should that not pan out, they could use their cap space to sign John Carlson this summer.

The bottom line is that Henrik Lundqvist is still here, and although he’s for the rebuild direction he doesn’t want to be under fire every night.
