The Rangers are on their way to round 2 of these NHL playoffs by taking Atlantic Division winner, Montreal. They did so by being physical and using their speed in perfect balance. When there were breakdowns, Henrik Lundqvist was simply phenomenal.

Here are 5 key moments that stand out as series difference makers.

Hank Robs Weber

It was the first big save in the series for Henrik Lundqvist that set the tone for his Kingly dominance in the series. Tanner Glass would score late in the first period and it was all Henrik needed as he opened the playoffs with a shutout.

Nash Too Hard To Handle

Rick Nash cannot be overlooked in this series. Easily the Rangers best forward thought. He was just too difficult for the Habs to handle and was a key factor for wins in games 3 and 4.

Girardi Crushes Shaw

Dan Girardi was an absolute beast in round 1 and the Rangers will need more of that if they hope to capture a Championship. His best moment came in a huge game five victory when he absolutely crushed Andrew Shaw and took him out of the series. It quietly put a dagger in the hearts’ of the Canadiens thinking they could out physical the Blueshirts.

Mika wins it in OT

It was huge! Not just for the Rangers but also for Zibanejad who was having his issues up until that point. A loss in OT of game 5 would have been devastating, especially since the Rangers dominated nearly the entire extra session.

Lundqvist’s Jaw Dropping Stop

Are you a fan of symmetry? Do you love bookends? Well this incredible save to preserve the 1 goal lead in Game 6 before Stepan sent one about 165′ into an empty net was amazing.

Which was your favorite moment?
