Asking price has been set for Rick Nash and it’s steep

The latest edition of TSN’s Insider Trading has the Rangers asking price for Rick Nash and it’s a doozy.

Per Bob McKenzie, they are looking for a 1st round pick, a top prospect, and another lesser prospect or pick. He went on to state that most GM’s find rental prices to steep but a similar return that Arizona received for Matin Hanzal (1st rd pick, and a 2nd rd pick) is likely. Pierre Lebrun also stated the Rangers willingness to eat salary which will sweeten the deal.

Additionally, Grabner’s expected price is a first round pick and many GM’s see him as a more value pick up.
