Contrary to Russian reports, Rangers have not made an offer to Shestyorkin

According to a recent Russian report, the Rangers made an offer to bring in Igor Shestyorkin to NY. In the article, it mentions that Lundqvist’s heir apparent is not happy with the offer because it will allow the Rangers to send him to the minors.

Russian reporter, Igor Eronko refuted the assertion about Shestyorkin having talks with SKA. Still, the question about the offer from the Rangers was not addressed.

Rangers Have Not Made an Offer

I reached out to the Rangers to ask if there was any truth to the report coming out of Russia. The response was simply, no.

While everyone is aware that the Rangers are planning to get the Czar of New York here soon, there hasn’t been any formal contract negotiations at this time. His KHL contract expires on April 30th, we should hear news after that date.
