Early reports have Rangers prospect Nils Lundkvist out with a lower body injury

Nils Lundkvist crashed hard into the boards in the game against Timrå, last weekend. Teammates had to help him off the ice and he was taken to the hospital on Sunday for x-rays.

According to a team source, Nils Lundkvist is out for now with no timetable for return. Best indications is that he may be back for the playoffs.

Lundkvist leads all teenage D-men in the SHL in points this season and had played all games up until the injury. We hope to have a more definitive update by the end of the week.
