According to Swedish newspaper Expressen, Rangers prospect Lias Andersson suffered a Grade 2 AC Joint injury in during the World Junior Championships in Buffalo.

Andersson suffered the injury taking a hit in the final game of group play against the Russians.

Andersson captained the Swedes to silver at the tournament and went viral for throwing his silver medal into the crowd. Don’t worry, he got it back. Andersson had been held back in New York to undergo testing on the injury, and according to the report, does not have a specific date of return to Frolunda. Andersson finished the tournament despite the injury and tallied six goals and an assist for the silver medalists.
