Invite Breakdown

A quick look at the prospects set to lace them up tomorrow shows highly regarded players like Brennan Othmann, Adam Sykora, and Bryce McConnell-Barker in the mix.

Others like Brett Berard, Adam Edstrom, Matt Rempe, Ryder Korczak, Bobby Trivigno, and Matthew Robertson have something to prove to the organization.

One noticeable omission from this list is Will Cuylle, who had a standout rookie campaign for the Hartford Wolf Pack. This likely bodes well for the 21 year-old power forward who amassed 25 goals, 20 assists, for 45 points in 69 AHL games, plus suited up in for four matches with the New York Rangers last season.

While Cuylle didn’t register a point in those games averaging just 6:58 per night on the team’s fourth-line, he was very noticeable. In those matches, his physicality was on display picking up 8 hits and 10 penalty minutes on 2 fighting majors making him a real candidate for a spot on the Rangers roster in the near future.

Finally, 2023 first-round pick Gabriel Perreault is also not on the list of invites as he is already committed to playing at Boston College in the fall.
