The diminutive Norwegian has ten points so far this season and is a favorite of both his teammates and The Garden Faithful. Hopefully, Zuccarello won’t be out long.

As for Howden, the 20-year-old Canadian was held out of Tuesday’s win over Montreal for precautionary reasons, and it would seem as though he will be ready to go tomorrow night in Detroit. The Rangers can really use Howden back in there lineup. Not necessarily for his scoring ability, though he does have nine points on the season, he has won 54.3% of his faceoffs which is 24th in the NHL amongst players that have taken 150 or more draws. Howden has certainly been impressive through the first handful of games in his NHL career and one can only hope he continues his solid play.
In non-injury news, Jesper Fast did not practice today for maintenance reasons.

UPDATE: Zuccarello will not play in either game during the road trip to Detroit and Columbus.
Quinn said Zuccarello won’t make the trip. Fast and Howden and both good to go. Lundqvist will start tomorrow in Detroit. #NYR
