New York Rangers Prospect Watch: Lauri Pajuniemi
The New York Rangers signed Finnish goal scorer Lauri Pajuniemi to his ELC in April. “Being drafted meant so much for me. I will remember that day for the rest of my life for sure,” he told us back in June of 2020.. “The (Rangers) jersey I got at the draft means a lot to me and it’s at my parents’ home hanging on the wall.”
Pajuniemi, 22, started off the AHL season very slowly. He now has three goals and three assists in 13 games, with four of those points coming in the last four games. He’s currently riding a 4 game point scoring streak.
Morgan Barron
The New York Rangers selected 6-4, 220 pound forward Morgan Barron in the 6th round (174th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He’s a winger turned center and tearing it up in the AHL playing in all situations.
In 10 games for the Wolf Pack he has registered 5 goals and 8 points. Barron was an offensive catalyst for Hartford in their current weekend sweep with three points in two games.
Brett Berard
Don’t sleep on the New York Rangers 5th round pick (134 overall) from the 2020 Draft, Brett Berard.
He may be small at 5-9 but plays a big and agitating game with speed. This season, Berard has 13 points in 13 games with Providence College.
