Rangers Roundup: David Quinn went after Jacques Martin, Morgan Barron, and more news
Good morning Blueshirts Faithful! Today we begin with more news from the Jacques Martin hiring. From there, we go to promising prospect Morgan Barron and his Q&A. Let’s get going.
Quinn pursued Martin
As was expected, there was a small contingent that suspected the Rangers hiring former NHL head coach, Jacques Martin was a just in case they wanted to replace David Quinn. That was quickly put to bed when Quinn said, “The minute he was available, I thought, I need to talk to this guy.” Furthermore, Quinn explained, “When we talked as a staff about what we were looking for, Jacques has all of it.”
Morgan Barron Q&A
When training camp for the 2020-21 season opens, expect Barron to push for a spot in this lineup. Depending on if the Rangers trade for a center or not will depend on what line he could center. It would not shock me if Barron at least challenged Brett Howden for the 4th line center role.

Yesterday I went deeper into what a potential trade for Anthony Cirelli would look like. Of course, the caveat is that Tampa would be forced to move a player they don’t want to.
