The New York Rangers made a wise move by re-signing free-agent forward Anton Blidh to a two-year, two-way deal on Wednesday.
Per Puckpedia, Blidh’s contract is as follows:

- Minors $350,000
- Guaranteed $385,000

Rangers re-sign Anton Blidh
The rugged 28 year-old forward was a late season acquisition for the Hartford Wolf Pack and he played a big role down the stretch to end a long playoff drought.
New York sent Gustav Rydahl to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Blidh, who had played 14 games last season with Avs registering no points. He was originally selected by the Boston Bruins in the sixth-round of the 2013 Draft, and amassed 12 points in 84 games with 41 penalty minutes split between the two clubs.
As soon as he got into the Pack lineup the impact was immediate. Besides the obvious physical presence, Blidh picked up 11 points in 17 games to help Hartford secure their first playoff spot since 2015.
In the Calder Cup playoffs, the 6-0′ and 195 pound winger recorded 2 goals and 7 assists for 9 points in 9 matches. The Wolf Pack won two rounds before falling to the Hershey Bears.
Blidh is expected to start with the Wolf Pack for the 2023-24 campaign but could be a valuable in-season call up.
