Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

“Welcome to the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, New York Rangers!”

Wait, what?

Doesn’t Jim know the 2024 NHL postseason started two weeks ago and the Rangers already swept their first-round series against the Washington Capitals? Why welcome them into the playoffs now?

And did he just completely blow the open to the debut of our “Rink Rap” podcast about the New York Rangers here at Forever Blueshirts, or is he actually on to something?

We’d love it if you tuned in to find out.

The video version of the podcast can be viewed here on YouTube at the Forever Blueshirts page. Don’t forget to subscribe to the page!

The audio version of the podcast can be found here and wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc). Again, please subscribe. And enjoy!

Dave Maloney talks Rangers – Hurricanes series on Rink Rap podcast

NHL: New York Rangers at Carolina Hurricanes
James Guillory-USA TODAY Sports

Dave Maloney, the former Rangers captain and long-time MSG analyst, stops by to help break down the Blueshirts’ second-round series against the Carolina Hurricanes. Plus, some very probing fan questions are answered and, yes, there is a bit of Led Zeppelin talk, too.

If your old enough (!) to remember the original Rink Rap radio show, or used to listen to NHL Live, you’ll understand that pop culture, sarcasm and fun are mixed with plenty of hockey and Rangers insight on the current podcast.

Listener interaction is important, too. So, please send questions and/or comments about the Rangers and all things hockey to [email protected] to be heard on the airwaves. Also, follow along on X (formerly Twitter): @4everBlueshirts and @JimCerny.
