Tanner Glass was diagnosed with the mumps. Dan Boyle has what we hope is only the flu. Chris Kreider takes a leave to grieve with his family. Rangers rally and trash the Flyers – again.

It was the Rangers depth that provided the win against Philadelphia today. Jesper Fast and JT Miller each had great games to lead NY to a big home and home sweep against the struggling Flyers.

Derick Brassard scored an early PP goal and it looked like the Rangers would run the Flyers out of town. Ray Emery had other ideas as he played admirably behind a swiss cheese defense.

The Flyers actually took a 2-1 lead about midway through the game and put a little doubt in the heads of fans in attendance. That’s when Jesper Fast played 4th line hero with a great effort and quick snipe to tie it up going into the third.

New York, stuck to their game plan and were lifted by three 3rd period tallies from Brassard, recent call up JT Miller and Lee Stempniak. Miller, who may have played one of his better games of his pro career, finished with 2 points (1G – 1A).

Miller was serious talking to reporters after the game. “I’ll definitely take it over not having it,” he told Blueshirts United, “but the fact that we got the win and played a consistent game means more to me.”

Jesper Fast who “finally” as he put it, scored first NHL goal was excited. “It’s a good feeling because I’ve been waiting for that one for a while.” Fast was also awarded the Broadway Hat for his goal and an assist effort today.
