Looks like the Islanders are the favorites here to retain JT’s services. If Tavares goes to free agency, the Rangers rank 4th on the list. My belief is that the Rangers would vault to top 3 if Tavares opts for free agency, but I think he stays on the Island.

I am pretty certain after winning the Cup that Carlson is going nowhere. However, if he does the Rangers will be in the running.

Although he isn’t a free agent, I found this interesting to add. Looks like the line on Karlsson is that he’s a goner in Ottawa. If that’s the case, the Rangers will possibly try to trade for him.
