Rangers Recall Nieves

The Rangers announced that they have recalled forward Boo Nieves from the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Nieves being called up suggests that there may be something going on with Kevin Hayes, who missed today’s practice ahead of the Rangers matchup with the Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow afternoon at MSG. Lias Andersson is expected to re-enter the lineup tomorrow, so perhaps Nieves is just being summoned as an insurance policy. Nieves has seven points (3G, 4A) in twelve games with Hartford this season.
