Rangers Roundup: Hunter Skinner contract breakdown; Nils Lundkvist dominant SHL season, and more
The New York Rangers yesterday signed defenseman Hunter Skinner to an AHL contract for the remainder of this season. They also inked the youngster drafted in 2019 to his 3 year entry level contract. The breakdown has him earning $851,000 with a performance bonus max of $925,000.
Nils Lundkvist completes dominant final season in SHL
The Rangers are closely watching and enjoying everything Nils Lundkvist has done in his SHL career. In what will be his final regular season with Lulea prior to signing his ELC with the Blueshirts after their playoffs conclude he finishes with 14 goals and 32 points in 52 games. His career SHL numbers are an impressive 78 in 166 games, with 63 of those points coming in his final two seasons spanning 97 games.
Very impressive indeed for a 20 year-old playing amongst men. Lundkvist is expected to sign soon but is looking to win an SHL Championship. Read more here.
