Remember when Bruins pest Brad Marchand said Ryan Lindgren wouldn’t last in the NHL
It was back in February of this past season when the Bruins and Rangers faced off. Ryan Lindgren introduced himself to super-pest Brad Marchand by putting a shoulder into him at the bench. That basically ignited a feud between the two and led to chippy game.

After going head-to-head, Brad Marchand had some harsh words for him. The NHL’s poster child for pests said, “[Lindgren] is not going to be a player there that’s going to have a very long career. I’m not overly concerned with him.” Well, Tony DeAngelo who missed his second game with an upper body injury couldn’t hold back. “Lindgren will be in the league for a long time actually. Save your cold blooded BS”, as he responded to a reporter on Twitter.
Ryan Lindgren The Nemesis
Ryan Lindgren has emerged as not only a staple on this young blue line but as one of the Rangers toughest players. He came to play that day and went at Marchand early and often, nearly hitting him over the boards. I guess for a player that Marchand isn’t too concerned about he didn’t stop himself from giving him a cheap shot during the second period.
Lindgren even sparked Pavel Buchnevich who cross checked Marchand in retaliation. Good stuff. It seems to me that Lindgren got under his skin more than he’d like to admit. I can’t wait to see what Lindgren does in response the next time they meet.
