On Wednesday, the Wolf Pack announced the signing of forward Scott Kosmachuk to a one year, American Hockey League contract. Last season, Kosmachuk registered 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 58 games with the Manitoba Moose, as well as recording 47 penalty minutes. In addition to playing with the Moose, the forward spent eight games with the Winnipeg Jets, recording three assists.

Scott Kosmachuk is a hardworking and gritty player, who can provide offensive depth along with his willingness to do battle in the dirty areas, and is not afraid to stir it up post whistle. This is a good depth addition for the club. Kosmachuk will bring more toughness and physical play to the group along with offensive contributions. He is a well-rounded player and Chris Drury and Keith McCambridge will like his style of play. They found another solid signing for Hartford.
